The Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) in Canes Venatici; a composite of two photographic exposures of two hours' duration each. The exposures were taken in southern France, using hypered Kodak Ektapress, Multispeed PJM-2 film by Philip Perkins with his Meade 10" LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.
