Introduction

This is an avenue whereby we will rotate out display or used/consigned equipment for sale. Our used or consigned telescopes and mounts are listed on our Astronomical and Terrestrial Telescopes page.

Products with titles listed in italics are available only to existing customers of Company Seven, i.e. those who have previously purchased a telescope or mount from us, or to educational non-profit organizations where the telescope may provide to the public good service. This is one of the discriminatory programs which we maintain in order to express our appreciation to our clientele, and keep the instruments away from resellers.

1. Used Astro-Physics 13cm EDF Telescope 2.7 Inch Focuser
   

   Machined Aluminum and Stainless Steel Rack and Pinion Focuser, includes thread on 2.7 to 2 inch Reducer. Engraved "Astro-Physics".

   Accepts Astro-Physics optional fittings including: Extension Tubes, Field Flattener, Telecompressor, etc.

   Delivered with a new 13cm EDF telescope in June 2002, this is greased drawtube focuser design that will accept the optional bolt on Feather Touch^® fine geared focus assembly. The most notable other difference between the older and newer Astro-Physics focuser will be the newer focuser has a greaseless drawtube arrangement; in extreme cold the greased model may not work as easily as the newer focuser.

   It saves the buyer about $150 to buy this focuser and add the Feather Touch^® option than to buy an entire new focuser assembly with Feather Touch^®.

   Condition: Mechanics as new, exterior shows some very minor normal wear.

2. Used Astro-Physics Traveler Telescope 2.7 Inch Focuser
   

   Machined Aluminum and Stainless Steel Rack and Pinion Focuser, includes thread on 2.7 to 2 inch Reducer. Engraved "Astro-Physics Traveler".

   Accepts Astro-Physics optional fittings including: Extension Tubes, Field Flattener, Telecompressor, etc.

   Delivered with a new Traveler telescope in October 1993, this is an older focuser design that can not accept the Feather Touch^® option.

   Condition: Mechanics as new, exterior shows some very minor normal wear.

3. Used Astro-Physics Traveler Telescope 2.7 Inch Focuser
   

   Machined Aluminum and Stainless Steel Rack and Pinion Focuser, includes thread on 2.7 to 2 inch Reducer. Engraved "Astro-Physics Traveler".

   Accepts Astro-Physics optional fittings including: Extension Tubes, Field Flattener, Telecompressor, etc.

   Delivered with a new Traveler telescope in July 1997, this is an older focuser design that can not accept the Feather Touch^® option.

4. Used Astro-Physics 155mm, 180mm, and 206mm EDF Telescope 4 Inch Focuser
   

   Machined Aluminum and Stainless Steel Rack and Pinion Focuser, with 4 inch Drawtube (Reducers optional). Engraved "Astro-Physics".
   Focuser provides 4.5 inches of travel.

   Accepts Astro-Physics options including: 4 to 2.7 inch Reducer, 2.7 to 2 inch Reducer, Extension Tubes, Field Flattener, Telecompressor.
   Delivered with new 206mm EDF telescope in July 1992, this is an older focuser design that can not accept the Feather Touch^® option.

   Condition: Mechanics fucntion as new, exterior shows no nicks with one spot of minor normal wear.

   Delivery: national and international. Price: $300.00

5. Consigned Carl Zeiss 8 x 56mm B/GA "Night Owl" Binocular
   

   Black and Grey, includes Zeiss Rain Guard, Wide Strap, Lifetime Warranty.

   Condition: Optics, mechanics are new, exterior shows some very minor wear.

   Delivery: national and international. Price: $925.00

6. Used Leitz 7x 42 B Trinovid Binocular
   
   SN 754330
   Black finish. A fine multipurpose binocular reconditioned and collimated.
   Includes new Leica padded neoprene carrying strap. One year warranty included.

   Condition: Remarkably clean, no nicks or paint chips or peeling. Optics and mechanics now perform well.
   The binocular was completely opened, cleaned and serviced in 2005. There remains some minor staining
   on the front surface AR coating of one prism - very hard to see from the front, impossible to notice when
   looking through the eyepieces. The cost of the recent service and parts were $378.12.

7. Consigned Lumicon Photovisual Giant Guider/Telecompressor
   Set up for Meade 10/12/14/16" telescopes (Celestron Adapter Available for $15.00)
   Also can be used as an f/7 telecompressor for these larger SCT's.

8. Display Gitzo Model G1275 Ball Head
   3/8 inch threaded base plate, with 1/4"-20 tpi attachment bolt.

   Condition: Used for display, works fine, shows minor normal wear with one minor scrape on a control knob;

10. Evaluation Gitzo Model ?, Ultra-Compact Ball Head

    Complete set of eyepieces in focal lengths: 4, 6, 10, 16, 25 (originally sold for $1,180/set), 34mm ($240), walnut wood case ($50).
    Suggested for f/7 or longer telescope systems.

    Condition: appears and functions as new.
    Availability: customers of Company Seven only.

21. Used IDAS LSP P-1 Light Pollution Rejection Filter, 48mm Dia.,
    

    Condition: Appears as new, in plastic case.

Notes and Terminology:

1. Demo equipment is new equipment shown at a meeting, or event. This will operate as new, and may show a very minor cosmetic mark from handling (usually not). These carry new product warranties.
   
   
2. Display equipment is new equipment that was on static display at our showroom but has not been handled by visitors. These will operate as new, and will not show any cosmetic mark from handling. These carry new product warranties
   
   
3. Evaluation equipment is new equipment evaluated in a nondestructive manner by Company Seven in test facilities. These will operate as new, carry new product warranties, and may or may not show minor cosmetic signs of handling. These carry new product warranties.
   
   
4. Used equipment may be evaluation equipment that has been disassembled and restored to appear as new, or it may be consigned or used equipment purchased or traded in at Company Seven. Its condition will generally be very good to like new, and these are accompanied by Company Seven warranties (and possibly with a manufacturer warranty too).
   
   
5. Inquiries about these items by E-Mail to Company Seven regarding these items is discouraged, we simply receive too many to reply promptly. We recommend those who are interested in an item simply visit our Laurel, Maryland showroom, or telephone to discuss any questions.
   
   
6. Orders will be accepted by telephone, or in person at the Laurel showroom, or by electronic mail. Please call to confirm item availability, and refer to ordering and payment information or contact our showroom for information.
   
   
7. Orders for delivery may incur additional actual costs of packaging, shipping, insurance, and for international orders there may be fees (customs, duties, etc.) payable by recipient.
   
   
8. Prices do not include state sales tax (5%) if applicable for delivery to or pickup at our showroom in Maryland.
