Note: Dovetail components are designed so that no tools are necessary to exchange accessories, or make position adjustments. Keep in mind that the total payload rating of the telescope mount should not be exceeded. The use of any extra loads may require you to employ additional counterweights.

Losmandy Dovetail Mounting Hardware

The heart of these systems are the Losmandy "D" Series Dovetail Plates of 0.5" thickness x 4.0" width x the length of the desired telescope optical tube assembly. A smaller "C" Series is available for relatively lightweight telescopes, or for certain accessory loads. All of these are precisely machined black anodized dovetail plates, of virgin aluminum stock

The Plate assemblies available for the following telescopes include adapter mounting blocks to attach the Dovetail Plate to either the telescope or the telescope mounting rings:

Model DAP "D" Series Plates for Astro-Physics Telescopes:

These include adapter blocks to attach onto either the top or bottom of the Astro-Physics Mounting Rings to accommodate the "D" Plate:

• DAP4 for Astro-Physics 4" f8 or so telescopes, Length 13.5", Wt. 3 lbs.
