Limited Availability Custom Products By Company Seven
As a general rule Company Seven does not become involved in the manufacture of products for the consumer market, but once in a while
we need to accommodate our clients with a solution that is either not made elsewhere or that is not made as well as what we envision.
Company Seven | Filter Thread Adaptor Mark 1
The Filter Thread Adaptor Mark 1, yes we employ the archaic British spelling, is made to allow the use of certain thread-on filters with special optics sold by Company Seven. Specifically the Mark 1 is made accept the male thread of our filter and then attach the filter and thread adaptor by its male thread onto the 52mm filter thread of a lens. A filter and lens combination that this will accommodate is the thread–on Baader Planetarium U–Filter and the Nikon 105mm F4.5 UV Lens a specialized, limited availability Nikon product distributed worldwide by Company Seven.

We had previously ordered adaptor rings for resale made overseas since there was a matter of convenience and cost there. However, we found the consistency of filter thread adaptor smoothness, and even their fit could vary from production lot to production lot. The quality of the cheaper grade of metals was likely sufficient, but here too we preferred a harder metal that would simply not wear even over decades of use. So while we could continue to sell our UV-105 lens and filter sets with what was being provided, we decided to demonstrate how this should be made and offer it to our clients.
The Filter Thread Adaptor is precision machined of high grade aluminum, then anodized in the United States of America. The Company Seven designation is then laser engraved onto the wall of the cell. This is a limited availability product, Company Seven making them specifically to suit the requirements of our clientele and doing this at comparatively modest cost. We will also sell these with a convenience surcharge for others who inquire.

Company Seven: Made In The USA ours is among several noteworthy U.S. companies in this field that have endured for some decades. The optics and mechanical components that bear our name are fully made in the USA. Furthermore, we attain the highest degree of quality control as each of these new instruments or accessory items undergo comprehensive acceptance testing prior to delivery to our customer.
There is no law that requires most products sold in the U.S.A. to be marked or labeled as such, or make any representation about their amount if U.S. made content. However we guarantee our Made In The USA products comply with the United States Federal Trade Commission's “Made In USA” policy. For a product to be called Made in USA, or claimed to be of domestic origin without qualifications or limits on the claim, the product must be "all or virtually all" made in the United States. The term "United States" as referred to the FTC's Enforcement Policy Statement Complying With The Made In USA Standard, includes the 50 states (yes including Hawaii), the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories and possessions. The term "all or virtually all" means that all significant parts and processing that go into making the product must be of US origin; that is to say the product contains none or virtually no foreign content.
