MOUNT HEAD PIER ADAPTER, AND PIER SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MODEL 900 AND MODEL 1200 MOUNTS

FOR EITHER THE 900 OR 1200 SERIES MOUNTS

If you choose to fabricate your own pier for either mount then:

• for installation into a hollow pier employ these six side holes (marked C) or,

• for installation onto a flat platform you can use the two countersunk holes (marked A) located on the top of the plate. You can also drill additional countersunk holes to fit your specific requirements.

Hole A: Countersunk through-holes for 1/4" - 20 tpi cap screws; you can use these two holes to attach the mount to a flat surface.

Threaded Hole B: The Mount Head attaches onto the base at these four locations with furnished hand knobs.

Threaded Hole C The Pier Adapter is secured into the pier at these these six (6) 5/16-18 threaded holes; these are spaced every 60 degrees on the circumference.

Post D: This metal journal is installed at this location to facilitate centering the Mount Head over the Pier Adapter and its' Azimuth Adjustor Block during assembly.

PIER ADAPTER OF THE 1200 MOUNT

The 1200 series mount is designed to fit into our 10" outside diameter pier which is available in several heights. The pier adapter of the Model 1200 mount as illustrated above slips into the post (aluminum tube) of the pier assembly and is then secured by six (6) 5/16"-18 tpi stainless steel screws at the locations sixty degrees apart marked C.
