MODEL ST-5C |
The ST-5C has been discontinued due to unavailability of some critical parts. We recommend the larger format ST-237A for both introductory imaging and autoguiding. The ST-237A camera has the same diameter camera head and CPU box as the ST-5C. Both cameras use a parallel interface and both are controlled by the same software. However the detector in the ST-237A camera is more than twice the size of the ST-5C and it has more than 4 times as many pixels.
Model | Total Pixels | Array | Pixel Size | CCD size | Image Area |
ST-5C | 76,800 | 320 x 240 | 10 u | 3.2 x 2.4 mm | 7.7 mm2 |
ST-237A | 325,215 | 657 x 495 | 7.4 u | 4.9 x 3.7 mm | 18.1 mm2 |
