SBIG Product Warranty
Effective May 1, 2006

All products manufactured by SBIG are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of TWO YEARS from date of original retail purchase.  This two-year warranty does not apply to CCDs, which are warranted by the CCD manufacturer.  SBIG will extend the CCD manufacturer's warranty to a period of one year from the date of camera manufacture.

SBIG will repair or replace the product at the sole discretion of SBIG, provided the product is returned to SBIG, freight prepaid, with a written statement detailing the nature of the claimed defect, as well as the owner's name, address, phone number, and a copy of the original sales invoice.

This warranty is not valid in cases where the product has been abused or mishandled, where unauthorized repairs have been attempted or performed.  SBIG specifically disclaims special, indirect, or consequential damages or lost profits, which may result from a breach of this warranty. Any implied warranties which cannot be disclaimed are hereby limited to a term of one year from the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser.

This warranty does not apply to any product that is purchased from a dealer in the United States for shipment to a country where the services of an authorized exclusive SBIG dealer is available at the time of purchase.  Dealers selling SBIG products outside the United States have a duty to inform any such customer that SBIG products may not be covered by this warranty if there is an authorized exclusive SBIG dealer in the customer's country at the time of purchase.  An individual carrying a product to his/her home country after purchasing it while personally in the United States does not constitute "shipment" for the purposes of this warranty exclusion.  Satisfactory proof of physical presence in the United States at time of purchase may be required by SBIG prior to providing warrantee service in such cases.  Exclusive SBIG dealers are listed at: www.sbig.com/sbwhtmls/dealinfo.html

This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights, which vary from state to state.

SBIG reserves the right to change product specifications or to discontinue products without prior notice.

This warranty supersedes all previous SBIG product warranties.
