Waiting Lists for standard used KAF

We would like to help ST-8 owners make the upgrade to the ST-8E and at the same time give ST-7 owners an opportunity to upgrade to a standard ST-8 at a reduced cost as a courtesy to our existing customers. To this end we will maintain a waiting list of ST-7 owners who wish to upgrade to a used standard KAF-1600 detector and match these people with ST-8 owners who wish to upgrade from the standard detector to the new enhanced detector. ST-8 owners may then make private arrangements with ST-7 owners to sell the used standard KAF-1600 detector. The two camera owners will send in both cameras at the time of the upgrade for the ST-8 to the ST-8E with instructions for SBIG to replace the KAF-0400 detector in the ST-7 with the used KAF-1600 detector from the ST-8. In this case the ST-7 camera owner will pay the ST-8 owner directly for the used detector and SBIG will charge $100 for the labor of replacing the detector in the ST-7. SBIG assumes no responsibility for the transaction between individuals for the used detectors.
