New CFW8 and CFW5C RGB Filter Set

We have discontinued our old CFW8 and CFW5C filter sets and replaced them with new filters that do not require a separate IR filter.   Each colored filter now has an IR block coating and the passbands have changed slightly to give better performance.  The passbands* of the new filters are:

Red:         612 - 670 nm
Green:      488 - 574 nm
Blue:        392 - 508 nm

These new filters are designed to give better color balance with the ST-7, ST-8, ST-5C, PixCel 255 and PixCel 237 cameras using a broader blue passband and narrower red passband than the old filters.  Also, it is easier to switch from RGB to B&W images where you may wish to capture the IR by simply selecting the clear filter which does not have an IR block coating.

These new filters are more expensive than our old set and we have adjusted the price of the filter wheel and filters accordingly.  The CFW5C filter wheel also fits the PixCel 255 and PixCel 237 cameras.
