NGC7662 (PK 106-17.1) The "Blue
Snowball" nebula.
Brad Ehrhorn captured this tri-color image of the elusive 2 arcminute
planetary with an ST-8 and CFW8 through his Mountain Instruments
12.5" Ritchey-Chretien f/9 telescope. Each RGB image was a self-guided
15 minute exposure. Usually only seen as a featureless blue ball, this image
is notable for the incredible detail in the interior of the nebula. Registration
of the final image and post processing was performed by Stan Moore.
