Mars
Antonio Jose Cidadao captured this tri-color image of the "red planet" on 3/31/99 from
the rooftop of his apartment building with an ST-5C camera equipped with the CFW-5
internal color filter wheel through a 10" LX200 using a 2X barlow.  Each RGB component
is the result of 30 frames taken at >1 frame per second with CCDOPS software.  The
final RGB image was combined using Photoshop.  A second RGB image of Mars taken
4 days later using a similar technique is included below for comparison.  Antonio is a
member of the A.P.A.A.  (Associaiacao Portugeuesa de Astronomos Amadores).
