Version 1.06 firmware upgrade makes the STV
CFW5C Color Filter Wheel Compatible

New version 1.06 firmware adds control for the optional CFW5C Color Filter Wheel. This is the same filter wheel used in the ST-5C and ST-237A cameras and is isntalled inside the STV head. Installation is simple and may easily be done by the user in a few minutes using only a screw driver. In order for the STV to recognize the filter wheel the STV's firmware must be updated to version 1.06 or later. This is also accomplished by the user. Download the latest firmware from the Software Download Section of the SBIG web site and follow the instructions to update your STV with a serial connection to your computer.

to an ST-237A camera head. The
same filter wheel may now be
used in the STV. Installation is
easy and can be performed by the
user. Simply remove four screws
and take off the face plate. Pull
out the shutter wheel and replace
it with the CFW5C filter wheel.
That is all there is to it.

With this accessory and the free
firmware upgrade from the SBIG
web site the STV is capable of
taking RGB filtered images.
